Headquartered in London, the Brands have over 2 million customers across the globe through the ASOS platform and generate brand sales of c£200m. Following the formation of a Joint Venture between ASOS and HEARTLAND in October 2024, ASOS is creating a standalone cross-functional team within ASOS dedicated to unlocking the huge growth potential of the TOPSHOP and TOPMAN brands. The brands will now benefit from ASOS infrastructure and resources while enjoying the creative freedom and agility of standalone brands.
The next 12 months for TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will see the expansion of the brands’ offline and online retail presence with the launch of Topshop.com and new wholesale partnerships.
Job Description
What you’ll be doing…
1. Develop a cohesive range for the department, ensuring that product reflects the Brand strategy, the range is without gaps or duplication, and that the season is logically and commercially thought through.
2. Work with Design to shape the product direction for the department, ensuring alignment with the brand and divisional strategy.
3. Deliver department KPIs to drive margin and profit, identifying and addressing any risks in partnership with Merchandising.
4. Anticipate the needs of the 20-something customer, using sales and trend data to deliver commercial product ranges that account for global factors.
5. Trade effectively by identifying gaps in ranges and potential opportunities that will impact department performance, while managing risk.
6. Maintain in-depth knowledge of planning and trading documents, using them to shape category analysis and buy evolution.
7. Drive cost-saving initiatives to improve cost efficiency.
8. Build effective ranges, considering Options, ALB strategy, and global requirements, with flexibility to pivot in season.
9. Collaborate with Merchandising to build lessons learned and ensure buying is within OTB, influencing trend and performance.
10. Build and leverage relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
11. Stay updated with global trends and competitor activity, reviewing product strategy accordingly.
12. Ensure brand purpose and Fashion with Integrity principles are embedded within the team, seeking opportunities to use sustainable materials.
13. Work with Marketing to identify promotional opportunities and ensure consistent brand messaging.
14. Establish a trialling calendar, engaging stakeholders to build program frameworks.
15. Collaborate with Sourcing to develop a strong supply base, highlighting pinch points or saturation.
16. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and projects, embracing change.
17. Lead and develop a team of ABs and BAs, focusing on future talent growth.
18. Provide clear direction, identify training needs, and promote collaborative working.
19. Motivate and engage the team through recognition and feedback.
Qualifications
