The Deputy Clinical Director for TOR will be accountable to the Clinical Director and with the Divisional Director for NOTSSCaN, be responsible for the clinical leadership, governance and operational performance of the Directorate. This is a key operational role within the Directorate, and the post holder will lead and be accountable for ensuring services are patient focussed and for achieving national and local targets and standards.
The post holder will provide visible leadership to all staff within the directorate and support the Clinical Director in delivering the strategic plan for the Division.
The post holder will also work with the Divisional Director and the Divisional Management Team to ensure the services within the Clinical Directorate meet the required objectives.

Main duties of the job
The Deputy Clinical Director is responsible and accountable to the Clinical Director for managing the clinical, operational and financial performance of the services within the directorate.
The Deputy Clinical Director will be responsible for delivering excellent performance against key quality standards and key quality standards and targets and for taking corrective action when required.
