Overview
This is a permanent, part-time post (6 PA) based at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. The post is part of a team of consultants and specialty doctors in the Acute General Adult Inpatient wards. The post holder will join an established consultant and work alongside 2 full-time consultants and 2 Specialist doctors, supported by a full-time Specialty Doctor, a Core Trainee and an FY2 trainee.

Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and consultant-level care in General Adult Psychiatry within the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
* Collaborate with the inpatient unit team to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Participate in the on-call rota and contribute to service development where appropriate.
Qualifications and requirements
* Full GMC Registration with a license to practice and eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
* UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
* Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) route doctors are eligible to apply for a substantive post only after it has been awarded.
* Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
