The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to a high standard. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable using various hand and power tools.
Duties
* Conduct comprehensive diagnostics to identify vehicle faults using specialised equipment.
* Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and replacements.
* Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
* Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time taken.
* Assist in the ordering of parts and materials required for repairs.
* Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during vehicle servicing.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues.
* Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
* Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and pneumatic tools.
* Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are preferred.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
