Senior Technical Program Manager - Store Stock Management
Summary
As a Senior Technical Programme Manager, you will provide strategic leadership in planning, implementing, and delivering sophisticated technical programmes. You will supervise the full lifecycle of initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and driving transformation across the business. In this role, focused on Store Stock Modernisation, you will lead a programme that will modernise and optimise stock management capabilities, coordinating technical deliveries and driving operational excellence across people, processes, and technology to deliver modern, efficient, and scalable solutions.
What you'll do
* Lead sophisticated and multi-disciplinary initiatives/programs of work within a product-led organisation to deliver innovative product solutions.
* Closely track and manage product/program execution progress to deliver planned outcomes, providing visibility and transparency through appropriate cadence and tools.
* Develop roadmaps and objectives and key results with product managers and engineering teams to ensure alignment to strategic ambitions for M&S and a customer‑first mindset in tech.
* Be responsible for and assure the technical development and release strategy, ensuring senior partners are advised and act as point of escalation for key risks and issues.
* Drive proactive dependency management between product functions or domains to confidently plan and deliver integrated solutions.
Who you are
* Experienced in agile delivery frameworks and large‑scale transformation programmes.
* Strong background in technical programme management, with exposure to contact centre technologies (CCaaS platforms, WFM tools, omnichannel solutions).
* Skilled in service management, adopting a service‑first approach to delivery.
* Commercially astute, with the ability to build business cases and lead vendor relationships.
* Analytical problem‑solver who challenges the status quo and drives innovative solutions.
Essential
* Desire for a deep experience of daily operational activities within retail stores.
* Close to colleagues and closer to customers, working directly with end users to ensure the best‑fit deployment and adoption.
* A passion for problem solving and fixing existing issues once and for all.
* An open mind and desire to think of new ways to do things rather than just sticking with the status quo.
* Good organisational skills and a focused approach to project activity.
