We are looking for a committed volunteer to manage all musical programmes for our young people. This role is ideal for someone with a deep belief in the power of music as a tool for growth, expression, and community-building.

What are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring A strong passion for youth development through music and the arts. Experience in music education, production, performance, or community arts. Visionary thinking and a creative approach to programme design. Passion to share knowledge and experiences with young people Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of volunteers and music professionals. Understanding of different musical genres, cultures, and youth identities. Knowledge of safeguarding best practices and inclusive learning environments. Flexibility, patience, and a deep sense of purpose in empowering young people. Whether you’re a music teacher, artist, producer, or organiser, if you believe in music as a tool for empowerment, we’d love to hear from you. What will you be doing?
The Head of Music Programmes will lead the creation and delivery of inclusive, engaging, and impactful music programmes that serve a wide range of young people. From grassroots workshops to performance opportunities, this role will ensure that music becomes a transformative force in the lives of those we serve. Key responsibilities include Designing and delivering music-based programmes that support personal development, creativity, and confidence-building. Partnering with local musicians, schools, arts organisations, and venues. Recruiting and coordinating music tutors, workshop leaders, and volunteers. Ensuring all music activities are inclusive, culturally relevant, and inspiring. Creating pathways for young people to pursue further musical interests, training, or careers. Monitoring and evaluating impact to refine and improve programme delivery. Ensuring all safeguarding and risk management procedures are upheld. You will work closely with the charity’s leadership team and other programme heads to align music offerings with the broader mission and goals.
