Sustainability Consultant (BREEAM / Building Performance)
Nottingham – Hybrid Working

The Opportunity
I’m working with a respected building services consultancy looking to bring in a Sustainability Consultant with BREEAM experience to strengthen their growing team in the East Midlands.
This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of projects across the region, collaborating with engineers, building physicists, and design specialists to deliver low-carbon, high-performance buildings.

Key Responsibilities
10. Deliver BREEAM assessments across multiple project types
11. Support sustainability and energy strategies from early design stages
12. Prepare detailed environmental and sustainability reports
13. Work closely with design teams to embed low-energy solutions
14. Contribute to wider project deliverables, including: Embodied carbon and circular economy assessments Thermal comfort and overheating analysis Energy demand and infrastructure reviews
15. Attend client meetings and design workshops
16. Keep up to date with UK regulations and sustainability best practice
About You
17. Experience carrying out BREEAM assessments independently
18. Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations (including Part L)
19. Experience with tools such as IES or One Click LCA is beneficial
20. Background in sustainability, building services, or similar
21. Strong communicator with a collaborative approach
22. Able to manage multiple deadlines and projects
