Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Clinical Nurse to leverage their advanced nursing knowledge and leadership skills to provide specialist care from diagnosis through post-operative management. The role aims to improve health outcomes through diagnostic, screening, assessment, and breast cancer pathways, supporting women throughout their journey.
Candidate Profile
* Knowledge of breast screening and breast cancer diagnosis
* Strong leadership and managerial experience in nursing
* Excellent communication skills
* Registered nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and an Annual Practicing Certificate
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in the clinical specialty
Responsibilities
1. Lead the nursing team in delivering expert patient care, collaborating with families and health professionals
2. Coordinate patient pathways, liaising with medical specialists and ensuring smooth documentation
3. Educate patients and whanau, facilitating their journey from diagnosis to treatment
4. Utilize organizational and community resources to optimize care
5. Mentor and guide nursing and allied health colleagues
6. Serve as a clinical resource for patients and professionals
