As a Site Operations Works Co‑ordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our groundbreaking fusion energy programme. Working as part of the Site Operations team at West Burton, you'll help coordinate day‑to‑day site activities and facilities management as we develop the STEP prototype fusion energy plant. This is an opportunity to contribute to a world‑changing project that aims to deliver sustainable, low‑carbon energy for future generations.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating all site works and providing daily oversight of contractors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and managing permits to work.
* Supporting the implementation of health and safety management systems, conducting inductions, and reviewing risk assessments to ensure safe working practices.
* Managing the facilities management contract, including monitoring compliance, overseeing maintenance schedules, and acting as the main point of contact for FM services.
* Liaising with stakeholders across the site to manage simultaneous operations effectively and maintain excellent communication.
* Supporting building compliance activities, defect management, and ensuring security through daily building checks.
Qualifications
* You have proven experience coordinating or supervising day‑to‑day site operations, ideally with a trade or construction background.
* You can demonstrate knowledge of building compliance and maintenance management.
* You hold SHEQ qualifications and understand how to promote a strong safety culture.
* You have experience supervising teams and possess proficient Microsoft Office skills.
* You hold a Full driving licence.
