The Role
Do you have experience in civil groundwork and operating plant machinery? Are you confident working outdoors as part of a skilled, hands-on team?
Moody Sewage is looking for a Ground Worker to support our installation team Uckfield. You'll help deliver a range of tasks from digging and concrete works to pipe installation and site set-up. Working closely with the Installation team leader, you'll play a key role in keeping each job safe, efficient and completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with excavations (machine and hand-dig), pipe laying and concrete works.
Operate small plant machinery (e.g., diggers, compactors, mixers).
Support basic electrical and mechanical tasks under guidance.
Handle sewage and water systems with safety and care.
Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good condition.
Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
Join toolbox talks and briefings, raising any risks you notice.
Wear correct PPE and represent the company in a professional manner.

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
Holds a valid UK driving licence.
CSCS card (or willing to obtain).
Familiar with groundwork, concreting and pipe installation.
Confident using light plant equipment.

Strong attention to detail and takes pride in good workmanship.
