Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and experience in landscape maintenance. This role involves maintaining gardens, flower beds, and outdoor spaces to ensure they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. The Gardener will work with various tools and equipment to cultivate plants and manage irrigation systems effectively.
Duties
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, weeding, and general garden maintenance.
* Implement irrigation systems to ensure adequate watering of plants and landscapes.
* Monitor plant health, identifying pests or diseases and taking appropriate action.
* Assist in the design and layout of garden spaces, including flower beds and landscaping features.
* Maintain cleanliness of garden areas by removing debris and litter.
* Provide advice on plant care and selection based on growing experience and horticultural knowledge.
* Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall landscape goals.
Requirements
* Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is essential.
* Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices is highly desirable.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to gardening tasks.
* Strong understanding of irrigation systems and their management.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
* Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
