We believe that everyone owns potential; it's inside us all waiting to be discovered.
This role will be 26 hours a week across 4 days.
At SCL Education Group, we strive to be unique in our offering and delivery of a tailored curriculum to suit each partner we work with. This ensures that the learners we engage with are supported and given the best outcomes possible through a range of employability and skills activities.
SCL provides young people from all backgrounds with access to high-quality education and training within our safe, nurturing learning environments, and our expert specialization in using enrichment to engage and inspire.
We recognise the privileged role we play within the lives of our learners’ communities and have developed a culture of ‘seeing through the behaviors’ that have been developed because of their past experiences.
Our curriculum is designed to offer something for everyone, providing programmes in a range of disciplines to support learners who may otherwise become NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training).
Main Purpose of the Position
To enable learners, through guidance and support, to achieve their aspirations and academic goals by supporting classroom learning and working collaboratively with teaching colleagues.
To deliver effective teaching and learning strategies and support the development of independent learning skills.
To evidence progression against targets set in negotiation with the learner and teaching colleagues to meet learning needs.
To contribute to EHCP Annual Reviews (where applicable) to ensure that progression towards educational outcomes is being addressed.
