Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Snodland business to ensure the safe, effective and efficient running of the regional contracting teams.
Work closely with operational teams to organise labour, plant and materials.
Order and organise delivery of all required items in the most cost‑effective manner.
Effectively manage and supervise performance and delivery of all administrative aspects in line with national/regional standards and requirements.
Demonstrate a ‘Proud to Work for Tarmac’ attitude, building positive working relationships with internal colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently with optimal use of resources.
Coordinate with Operations to ensure efficient organisation of labour and plant and resolve any issues promptly.
Update HAVS and fatigue spreadsheets on a daily basis.
Issue necessary paperwork to operations teams (e.g., safety packs, toolbox talks).
Report unsafe or hazardous working practices to appropriate personnel.
Manage daily ordering of materials and scheduling of deliveries.
Review and manage supplier lists regularly.
Check and process operatives’ timesheets on a daily basis.
Additional Responsibilities
Proactively track and complete mandatory training, safety briefings and other Tarmac‑issued requirements.
Support quality submissions and business requirements.
Maintain departmental spreadsheets to ensure accurate control of costs, company vehicles, mileage, fuel and utilisation.
Maintain accurate and transparent records and information to support the region.
Collate and format monthly reports and statistics for the General Manager.
Notify management of any issues and support problem‑solving.
Provide administrative support to teams as required.
