Due to increased project demand, we are looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to support our clients on-site manufacturing operations in Droitwich. This is a hands-on role within a low-volume, high-value engineering environment, supporting the delivery of complex HVAC systems and packaged plant rooms. Role Overview The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing methods, supporting production, and designing jigs and fixtures to enable efficient assembly of engineered plant systems. The role spans multiple trade disciplines including pipework, structural steel, cladding, and mechanical assembly. This position is site-based and suits candidates with strong practical manufacturing experience within modular or engineered systems environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement manufacturing methods and processes with a strong DFMA focus Design and support jigs, fixtures, and tooling to aid efficient build and assembly Provide manufacturing engineering support for HVAC and packaged plant room systems Conduct PFMEAs, control plans, and process flow development Support production teams with day-to-day technical troubleshooting Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and visual standards Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from design through to production Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma principles Support quality activities including NCRs, root cause analysis, and 8D problem-solving Liaise with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Manufacturing / Process Engineer within: HVAC systems Process plant or capital equipment environments Strong understanding of: Pipework, structural steel, cladding, and modular builds Low-volume, high-value manufacturing environments Experience designing manufacturing methods, tooling, and fixtures Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar) Strong knowledge of DFMA, PFMEAs, control plans, and Lean manufacturing Experience working with BOMs, routings, and ERP / PLM systems
