We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our team, working at our Care Home in Wishaw. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about providing high-quality care and support to our residents.The Role:Ideally you will be an experienced Carer with a valid SVQ2 (or working towards) with experience of delivering person centred care to residents within a Care Home setting whilst being able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills working as part of a care team.
Working as an integral member of the Care Team you will work closely to ensure the residents in the Home are cared for appropriately. The role can be both physically and mentally demanding, the ideal candidate will be expected to understand the empathy required with elderly people. Candidates with no previous experience will be mentored for 2 weeks to give guidance and support and to facilitate training.Responsibilities:Promoting as full as life as possible for each residentOrganising activities to keep the residents engagedAssisting with serving/preparation of meals, drinks and clearing up afterwardsSupporting the Nurse on duty, Physiotherapist or Chiropodist when requiredReporting any changes in residents to condition to the Nurse on DutyReport any incidents within the home to ensure they are recorded in the incident bookCare for residents property and belongings in the home as directedEnsure any equipment is maintained and report and defects to a ManagerAccompany residents to activities out with the Home when requiredSupport with personal careClean up any spillages as they occur using the correct equipment as specified in the Control of Infection PolicyTo assist with other duties as and when requiredRequirementsIdeally working towards or hold an SVQ Level 2 Health and Social CareAn Understanding of National Care Standards and Codes of ConductsMaintain confidentiality at all timesHave a passion to deliver high levels of care at all times.SSSC Registration or willingness to register within the specified timescale.Along with a fantastic salary of up to £28,828 per annum (plus available overtime), we can offer you:Flexible, Permanent, Full -Time Shifts, 44, 33 or 22 Hours Per WeekExcellent Rate of Pay £12.60 per hourOn-going Training & Career Development OpportunitiesFantastic induction, training, and ongoing support to develop your skills and knowledge within the care industryFree Company UniformFree Parking On-Site28 Days Annual Leave Inclusive Of Bank HolidaysWorkplace Pension SchemeTo Apply:If you feel that you have the qualifications, skills and experience to excel in this post, then we would love to hear from you.
