Overview
We are looking for dedicated people to provide safe and nurturing support to children and young people who cannot live with their own families. You will provide a home, therapeutic care and opportunities for a young person to reach their potential.
Duties
* Provide a safe and nurturing home to a child or young person.
* Attend regular training to help you provide excellent, therapeutic care.
* Participate in regular supervision with your Supervising Social Worker and attend annual reviews.
* Join our staff, carers and young people for training, support, participation and community events. You will be joining the CHT Community.
Requirements
* You must have a spare bedroom
* We support carers across East and Central Scotland
* A valid driving licence is helpful but not essential if your home is well connected to services by public transport.
We are keen to hear from people who can foster full-time or provide short breaks.
Foster carers are self-employed and claim fees and allowances based on their skill level and the age of the child they care for. The figures shown are the combined fee and allowance for caring for one child based on the age of the child and the experience of the foster carer.
