Theatre Practitioner Scrub Nurse – Gynaecology, Urology and Robotics
Shift Pattern: Monday to Saturday plus additional shift enhancements for weekend working – various shift patterns available.
Salary:£32,500 to £41,643 per year (plus paid overtime).
Location: Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, SW5 0TU.
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time – 37.5 hours per week.
We offer a one-off Golden Hello payment of £3,000 (or £5,000 towards relocation costs, if applicable) and support for fast‑track visa processing where eligible.
Responsibilities
* Ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective patient care in a team environment.
* Scrub for laparoscopic, gynaecology, urology and general cases.
* Assist in patient positioning, preparation and specimen handling.
* Maintain a clean working environment following infection‑control protocols.
* Participate in induction and orientation programmes for new staff.
* Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, including anaesthesia.
* Provide assistance in clinical and operative procedures.
* Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner and ensure safety of patients, visitors and staff.
* Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri‑operative patient care.
* Delegate and supervise junior grades, unqualified and less experienced staff.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
* 1st level registration Adult and/or Children or Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
* NMC or HCPC registered.
Experience:
* Previous peri‑operative experience in laparoscopic, gynaecology, urology, general, plastics or kidney transplant.
