Job Description
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Planning team in the Reading/M4 Corridor, based out of our Bracknell office. While the role requires occasional office attendance, an ideal location is the Reading area. As a Partner in Financial Planning, you will build trusted relationships with current and potential clients, deliver tailored Financial Planning and Wealth Management advice, work within an agreed business plan, maintain alignment with company goals, represent the company externally, and contribute to the wider business through forums, training, and development sessions.
Responsibilities
* Build and develop trusted relationships with current and potential clients.
* Deliver Financial Planning and Wealth Management advice that is suitable, tailored and personalised.
* Work within the context of an agreed business plan.
* Ensure all advice is in line with advice and control policies.
* Align strategically with the company’s goals and act as ambassadors for the company at all times.
* Contribute to the wider business through sharing experience and knowledge via forums, training and development sessions.
* Look after and support client needs.
* Build new client relationships and maintain and develop existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to minimise attrition and deliver new instructions and referrals from satisfied clients.
* Structure and lead client meetings in a professional manner, ensuring all information and advice provided is up to date, technically accurate and meets clients’ needs.
* Ensure clients have the right advice to achieve their financial objectives, considering the impact of retirement planning, inheritance and tax efficiency.
* Conduct client reviews at least annually in line with changing risk attitudes and strategic requirements.
* Work in partnership with Investment Management (IM) and Professional Services (PS) colleagues to develop client relationships.
* Build and maintain COIs to initiate and nurture close relationships with professional advisers.
* Maintain the New Business Pipeline (NBP) and ensure all values and dates are up to date.
* Maintain comprehensive client records that are accurate and up to date in line with Group policy.
* Motivate, coach and develop team members to enable them to achieve their responsibilities and accountabilities as documented in their job profiles and Business Plans.
* Engage in supervision of direct reports, ensuring T&C regulations and suitability processes are followed and all documentation completed.
Qualifications
* Business acumen and experience in developing and implementing business plans.
* Proven track record of successful business development.
* Ability to deal with new and existing clients on a fee basis.
* Clear communication of advice practices and processes.
* Analytical ability to highlight client requirements and make suitable recommendations.
* Technical and product knowledge and effective communication of holistic financial planning strategies.
* Strong client and customer service ethic.
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability in mentoring, training and developing adviser colleagues.
* Extensive experience operating within a risk management framework and understanding of related risks for private client business.
* Holds a relevant Level 4 qualification or above (aspiring for Level 7) and maintains an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing.
