An excellent opportunity has arisen, we are seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes within our kitchens.
The Commis Chef's responsibilities include preparing ingredients, assisting with menu preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about food, eager to learn, and able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.
Responsibilities
* Prepare ingredients for the meal service, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping.
* Excellent food hygiene standards and knowledge
* Follow the guidance of the senior chef in preparing dishes.
* Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
* Perform basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
* Prepare simple dishes.
* Assist with inventory management and kitchen equipment maintenance.
* Help with the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen and equipment.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling knives and kitchen equipment safely.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Commis Chef, or similar role within a kitchen.
* Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary vocabulary.
* Understanding of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
* Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
* Great attention to detail and creativity.

Pay: Based on age and experience up to £28,571.40 plus service charge circa £3k per year.
