A well respected electrical accessories brand is looking for a technically driven Business Development Manager to lead and execute their strategy within the data centre marketplace. This is a unique and high profile role in their business and there is already a strong foundation of mapped customers ready to target for this year. This role would be ideal for a someone with a real hunter mentality who has been successful selling in a new sector or channel. Someone who understands the electrical sector and can gain specifications with M&E consultants/contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and target priority data centre segments (hyperscale, cloud, enterprise)
Develop and communicate a clear data centre sales strategy and value proposition
Generate high-quality leads through events, networking, campaigns, and direct outreach.
Proactively pursue and close new business opportunities with M&E Consultants and Contractors in this sector
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
Forecast sales performance and track KPIs
Work closely with internal and other external BDMs across the wider sales teams to achieve segment goals
Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations to ensure aligned execution.
Candidates should possess:
Proven track record of business development experience within data centre or related markets and understand the specialist consultants and contractors in this space
Have a solid understanding of the electrical industry either through selling components, systems, cap ex, lighting or cabling equipment before
Deep understanding of the data centre landscape and customer needs
Strategic thinker with strong analytical capability
Customer-focused approach with excellent relationship-building skills
Ability to influence and inspire internal stakeholders
