About the role
The Technical Management Officer role is to provide support to the Highways team to carry out the wide-ranging statutory duties to co-ordinate and manage works carried out by the Council, its agents, utility companies, developers, and Transport Authorities. As a Technical Management Officer, you will be part of the highway licensing team. You will manage and administrate the licence & permit application processes for various activities undertaken on the adopted highway network. Attend pre-commencement site construction meetings and carry out regular site inspections to ensure all works have been undertaken to specification.
The role requires you to liaise with other Council Officers, in particular the Street Works Team, Planning and Traffic Officers, and the public, whilst also being outside undertaking site meetings as and when necessary.
