Role Overview:
We are looking for an organized and proactive Operations Coordinator focused on governance and compliance coordination, with additional responsibilities in light project management. This role is essential in ensuring our operations meet regulatory and business standards while supporting strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Governance and Compliance Coordination:
o Collaborate with internal teams to maintain and enforce governance and compliance frameworks.
o Assist in developing, updating, and disseminating policies and procedures.
o Monitor compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
o Support the wider team on governance and compliance requirements, ensuring the Business Unit remains compliant and risks are managed.
o Coordinate internal audits by collecting data and documentation.
2. Operational Coordination:
o Serve as a central point for compliance-related reporting and facilitation.
o Coordinate between departments to ensure alignment on governance initiatives.
o Maintain accurate records and reports for compliance metrics.
3. Project Management Support:
o Assist in planning and executing light projects, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met.
o Prepare project documentation and updates for stakeholders.
o Track milestones and escalate issues as needed.
o Maintain risk and issue logs at business unit and senior management levels.
4. Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to streamline governance and compliance processes.
o Support the implementation of best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
We are seeking a candidate with a strong overall fit; not all criteria are essential.
* Experience in governance, compliance, or operational coordination, preferably within financial services or telecommunications.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com).
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
* Analytical skills to monitor metrics and suggest improvements.
Team Collaboration:
* Work with Product Owners, senior management, operations, customer service, compliance, risk teams, and third-party providers.
