Food Technology Technician (Maternity cover September 2025 to Easter 2026)
Grade 3, SCP 6 - 11, £25,183 - £27,269 (pay award pending)
36 hours 40 minutes per week / Term time plus 10 days
Actual pro rata salary £22,118 - £23,950
We are looking for a positive and committed individual who has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, has a pro-active approach and the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to relate well to staff, students and visitors. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team.
Key responsibilities will include preparing ingredients, equipment and resources for classes to ensure teaching and learning is kept to a high standard and to maintain and clean equipment ensuring kitchen areas meet health & safety standards. You will be responsible for maintaining stock levels of apparatus and materials and re-ordering as necessary. You will work alongside department members to support learning for students and provide general support to the teacher in the classroom.
