QHSE Manager Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:00am–3:45pm, Friday 6:00am–1:00pm A well-established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to take ownership of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental functions within a busy production environment. This is a highly hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the shop floor as well as leading and developing a small quality team. The successful candidate will manage two Quality Inspectors and a Quality Engineer, while driving continuous improvement across quality systems, manufacturing processes and product development. Key Responsibilities of QHSE Manager Lead and manage the QHSE function across the manufacturing operation Maintain and develop the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Work closely with production, engineering and product development teams to ensure quality standards are met Provide technical support relating to welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes Oversee quality inspection and testing activities, including supplier and internal audits Support product and process improvement initiatives across the business Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture across the site Candidate Requirements of a QHSE Manager Strong background in manufacturing or heavy engineering environments Experience with welding, fabrication and flux-based processes Solid understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems Exposure to manufacturing engineering and product development NDT knowledge or experience would be beneficial Metallurgical training or understanding would be highly advantageous Proven experience leading or mentoring quality personnel The Opportunity This role offers the chance to play a key part in improving quality standards and operational performance within a technically varied manufacturing environment, while maintaining a strong presence on the shop floor.
