Maternity Cover
Required from 1st June 2026 or 1st September 2026
This is a maternity post, ideally required from 1st June 2026, or alternatively a September 2026 start. We are looking for a fully qualified, enthusiastic teacher of English to join a high performing department. The successful applicant will have the ability to confidently teach all aspects of the subject at both Key Stage 3 and GCSE at Key Stage 4. Applications from ECTs are welcome.
We pride ourselves on being a highly driven team, passionate about our subject; we want to give pupils every opportunity for academic success, whilst seeking to find fresh ways of making the learning relevant, inspiring and enjoyable. The department has consistently achieved outstanding GCSE results. Ofsted recently commended the department for achieving ‘the greatest consistency’ between the progress of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged pupils and was highlighted as an outstanding team within the school.
