We’re working with a well regarded, design led architecture studio to appoint a People & Culture Lead to join its London team.
This is a standalone role within a studio where people and culture are taken seriously. You’ll work closely with the Operations Director and leadership team, supporting how the practice hires, develops and supports its team, while ensuring the day to day HR function runs smoothly.
The studio operates in a project led environment, so the role requires someone who understands shifting workloads, resourcing pressures and the importance of supporting teams in a way that is both structured and pragmatic.
You’ll be a visible and approachable presence within the studio, acting as a trusted point of contact across all levels, from graduates through to senior leadership.
The Role
* Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on day-to-day HR and people matters
* Lead recruitment and onboarding across the studio
* Manage employee relations with sound judgement and consistency
* Support performance reviews, development and progression frameworks
* Contribute to culture, engagement and wellbeing initiatives
* Maintain and improve HR policies, processes and compliance
* Oversee HR administration, reporting and record keeping
* Liaise with external providers including payroll
* Support resourcing and workforce planning across project teams
About You
* Proven HR generalist experience within a professional services environment
* Experience within architecture, design, construction or similar preferred
* Strong employee relations experience and confidence advising managers
* Comfortable working in a standalone, highly visible role
* Collaborative, approachable and able to build trust across teams
* Organised, with a practical approach to improving processes
* Strong understanding of UK employment practices
* CIPD Level 5 (or above) essential
