Overview
The Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the conveyancing team. The position involves delivering high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, client service and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Providing comprehensive administrative support to conveyancing solicitors and fee earners
* Assisting with the management, organisation and maintenance of client files and documentation
* Liaising professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other key parties
* Handling incoming calls, emails and general correspondence efficiently
* Drafting and preparing letters, forms and other legal documentation
* Requesting and managing electronic searches (pre- and post-completion)
* Demonstrating familiarity with SDLT and LTT submissions
* Working confidently within a comprehensive compliance and regulatory framework
Qualifications
* Experienced in residential conveyancing or legal secretarial work
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Professional and confident in dealing with clients and third parties
* Able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
* Proactive, efficient and committed to delivering excellent client service
