Job Description:
We are currently working with a market-leading life insurance company to recruit a Finance Systems Accountant on a 6-month FTC basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing core finance systems to support timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting. You will work within the Finance Systems team to resolve issues, drive improvements, and ensure alignment with company values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and develop the suite of finance systems, ensuring efficient operation of applications such as FCCS (for financial and statutory reporting) and CCH Tagetik (for Solvency II reporting during quarterly and annual cycles).
* Ensure smooth functioning of finance systems during critical reporting periods by proactively addressing system-related issues.
* Collaborate as part of the wider Finance Systems team, reporting through the Reporting and Financial Management function.
* Apply strong problem-solving skills to address issues and mitigate risks, ensuring high-quality and timely reporting.
* Support continuous improvement of finance systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
* Demonstrate company values in delivery, collaboration, and overall performance.
The ideal candidate should have:
* Life insurance industry experience.
* Strong EPM (HFM or FCCS) finance systems knowledge of process, data, and metadata structures.
* Strong finance process understanding, in areas such as General Ledger, Consolidation, Solvency II, or Financial Reporting.
* Experience supporting and developing Oracle FCCS, Tagetik, and Workiva.
