Priory Hospital Enfield is looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team. This is a full time 37.5 hours role.

Compensation: £43,014 - £46,314 / year
Located in Edmonton, North London, Priory Hospital Enfield offers acute and secure services for adult females. We have two medium secure wards, one low secure and one acute ward. We offer specialist mental health care to people who are unwell and are considered to be unable to look after themselves in the community. We offer specialist assessment, treatment and care to patients with severe mental illness, complex needs and people who require an environment with security and safety. Priory’s acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areas.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Works as Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors.
* Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicates requirements to the wider team.
* Ensures that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met.
* Respects and applies the requirements of diversity and inclusion, promoting and role modelling these across the team.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will:
* Have active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and meet all revalidation requirements, with experience as a trained assessor or supervisor.
* Bring essential clinical supervision experience (with formal training desirable) and demonstrate a strong commitment to continued professional development, including leadership capability growth.
* Have solid computer skills.
* Have at least 18 months to two years of post-registration experience and demonstrate clear expertise within a defined clinical specialty.
