Legal Secretary – Immigration (Part Time)
A well-regarded law firm based in Rotherham is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Legal Secretary to support its busy Immigration Department on a part-time basis.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-focused legal environment and is looking to play a meaningful role in supporting individuals through complex and often life-changing immigration matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide full secretarial and administrative support to fee earners in the immigration team
Accurately transcribe digital audio dictation of legal correspondence and case notes
Manage the opening and closing of client files in line with compliance procedures
Arrange interpreters and liaise with third-party service providers
Communicate with clients both in person and over the phone, recording precise and professional file notes
Maintain office administration including photocopying, scanning, and filing
Support reception duties on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a friendly and efficient front-of-house experience
The role calls for a candidate with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to daily tasks. Previous experience in a legal or immigration setting is desirable but not essential.
