Air Freight Operator Location: Heathrow Area Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE I'm currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a highly respected specialist freight forwarder, for an experienced Air Freight Operator to join their growing operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid freight forwarding background who enjoys working in a fast-paced, time-critical environment and can confidently manage export shipments from start to finish. The role is heavily focused on Exports, with shipments moving primarily via Air Freight and a smaller amount via Road Freight. Package & Benefits: Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience Flexible working hours: 08:00 or 09:00 starting time 28 days holiday Pension scheme Supportive and specialist freight forwarding environment Exposure to complex, high-value, and time-sensitive shipments Key Responsibilities: Handling export air freight shipments from booking through to delivery Preparing and cutting Air Waybills (AWBs) Liaising with airlines, hauliers, overseas agents, and customers Managing time-critical and express shipments Ensuring all freight documentation is accurate and compliant Coordinating occasional road freight movements Providing high levels of customer service in a specialist logistics environment Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience in Air Freight Operations Strong export operations knowledge Experience cutting Air Waybills is essential Ability to work efficiently under pressure with urgent shipments Excellent communication and organisational skills Dangerous Goods experience or certification would be a strong advantageThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with an excellent reputation within specialist and dangerous goods logistics.
