Job Description:
As a Warehouse Production Operative, you will play a key role in the storage, processing, packing, and dispatch of materials. Working with equipment such as band saws, fork trucks, and overhead cranes, you will ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
* Storing and maintaining inventory within the warehouse.
* Operating machinery and handling equipment safely.
* Processing work orders accurately in line with company procedures.
* Packing and preparing finished and semi-finished goods for delivery.
* Conducting quality checks and maintaining records.
* Supporting training for new starters and apprentices.
* Upholding housekeeping and 5S standards to keep a clean and safe working environment.
The Warehouse Production Operative role is central to ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled on time and to exact requirements, contributing directly to the success of the business.
Skills & Experience:
To succeed as a Warehouse Production Operative, you will ideally have:
* A strong safety-first mindset with excellent attention to detail.
* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Experience with counterbalance fork trucks, side loaders, overhead cranes, or slings (preferred but training can be provided).
* Knowledge of packing, strapping, and use of measuring equipment.
* Strong teamwork, listening, planning, and problem-solving skills.
