As we continue to grow and refine our food offering, we’re looking for a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and take our dining experience to the next level.
The Role
As Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations — from menu development and stock control to team training and maintaining impeccable standards of food quality and hygiene. You’ll have the freedom to create exciting, seasonal dishes that reflect both your creativity and our pub’s identity.
Key responsibilities include:

Designing and delivering seasonal menus that celebrate local produce

Managing and inspiring a small, dedicated kitchen team

Overseeing stock control, ordering, and cost management
*
Ensuring all health, safety, and food hygiene standards are met
*
Working closely with the General Manager to maintain smooth day-to-day operations

Upholding The Partridge Inn’s reputation for quality and consistency
About You
We’re looking for someone with:

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality-led kitchen
*
A passion for fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients
*
Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent organisational and financial awareness

A hands-on approach and a desire to grow with our business
