We are currently recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast‑paced, highly automated manufacturing site in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well‑established engineering team within a business that continues to invest in its people, processes, and technology.
As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production equipment across the site. Working in a 12‑hour shift pattern (days and nights), you'll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of automated production machinery
* Diagnose faults and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs efficiently
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
* Work collaboratively with production teams to reduce downtime and improve output
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and site standards
* Contribute to root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – About You:
* Proven experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a highly automated manufacturing environment
* Strong electrical engineering background and relevant qualifications
* Experience working with automated or high‑speed machinery is essential
* Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment
* Proactive approach with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement
* Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
