Overview
ICT Project Manager to join our Design team based Nationwide. Our ICT team provides design and installation services to the regional Kier Construction businesses, predominantly in the educational sector. Kier supports DfE High Value and Low Value frameworks and schools projects with local authorities and academy trusts. You will work within the Design ICT team, providing subject matter expertise in the design and implementation of ICT solutions for newly built or refurbished schools, ensuring ICT solutions are current, stable, resilient, cost effective, and compliant with output specifications, regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities
* Deliver projects in accordance with user specifications and timetables, ensuring best value for money and compliance with ICT designs.
* Develop and design ICT solutions for schools (and other sectors) across new-build and refurbishment projects, maintaining current technical ICT architecture with resilience and compliance to specifications and regulations.
* Interpret requirements, analyse technical information, and provide best solutions aligned with project/site requirements.
* Communicate with customers and supply chain (Kier regional construction businesses, DfE, ESFA, schools, trusts, councils, design teams, technical support staff, and external suppliers) to develop ICT design solutions, identify problems, and determine solutions.
* Contribute to the development of information technology strategy and policies for the Kier Business Services ICT portfolio.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional qualifications related to this role.
* Experience in a voice and data network environment, particularly in the education sector.
* Network and related infrastructure design for schools in line with the latest DfE Output Specification.
* Able to take responsibility and make appropriate decisions within delegated limits; strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver work across multiple projects.
* A full driving licence to visit other sites/offices.
