Due to further growth within the business they are looking for an experienced hands-on Electrical Design Engineer to join their projects team. Role & Responsibilities of an Electrical Design Engineer: Conducted control panel layouts, schematic drawings, component & cable specificationCreate electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic diagrams using EPlan Pro Panel softwareWork closely with mechanical design, projects & software teamsPLC / HMi selection in line with the software departmentProvide technical support and advice to customers and wider teamsWork with low voltage, single & 3-phase AC systems (110V - 600V)Spec and source components and other hardwareOffice based role, with occasional travel to customers sites, sometime overseasWork to appropriate legislation standards - electrical safety, BS7671, ISO13489 Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be an Electrical Design Engineer: Must electrical CAD experience using EPlan Pro Panel softwareHNC / HND qualified in Electrical EngineeringBe an expert in control panel design workProven electrical wiring experience with design for projectsAble to manage a dynamic workload in an ever changing projects environmentAble to read & interpret technical drawings & dataExcellent problem solving skills, with an eye for detailMechanical knowledge / experience would be beneficialKnowledge of PLC's - Siemens, Mitsubishi & Allen BradleyHappy to still be hands-on electrically, provide technical assistance on control panelsMust be able to drive, no public transport access to office.
