Overview

Hayley Dexis has an exciting opportunity for a commercially orientated Onsite Customer Account Advisor to join our well-established team based at customer sites in Darley Dale and Sheffield. Hayley Dexis is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables (hydraulics, bearings, fasteners, fluid power, PPE, tools, lubricants, etc) in the UK. About the Onsite Customer Account Advisor: you’ll use your commercial acumen to identify opportunities that bring benefits to both the customer and Hayley. This role acts as a key liaison between our Branch team in Sheffield and the Onsite Management Team, participating in site leadership meetings, acting as an escalation point for the stores team, and helping cover holidays or absences across the team.

You’ll use your knowledge of engineering consumables and parts to identify improvement opportunities for the customer, connecting Hayley’s category experts to drive value and opportunities to tender in new category areas. You’ll monitor KPI performance with the branch team and use ERP systems knowledge to support operations.

We are a small team with a commitment to driving customer service excellence. You’ll be a team player, helping ensure the site is tidy, supporting the stores team, and identifying opportunities to supply parts in new areas. This role suits someone with a true all‑rounder mindset, who is driven with a sales orientation. Health, safety and wellbeing, housekeeping, and site cleanliness are everyone’s responsibility.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.


Responsibilities

* Act as a liaison between the Sheffield branch and Onsite Management Team.
* Attend site leadership meetings and support escalation needs for the stores team.
* Identify improvement opportunities for the customer by leveraging knowledge of engineering consumables and parts.
* Coordinate with Hayley’s category experts to drive value and tender opportunities in new category areas.
* Monitor KPI performance in collaboration with the branch team and maintain awareness of targets.
* Utilise ERP systems effectively to support operations and reporting.
* Contribute to a tidy, safe, and compliant site environment and support the stores team as needed.
* Demonstrate a sales orientation and a willingness to get involved across tasks as required.


Qualifications

* Excellent sales drive and commercial acumen.
* Experience within the MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) industry or similar cross‑over experience is beneficial.
* Experience in stores management procurement is ideal but not essential.
* Ability to communicate effectively across various levels within the organisation; direct collaboration with the customer engineering team is required.
* Full driving licence is preferable.
* Customer-focused with a drive to provide consistently high levels of service.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Able to prioritise workload and work well as part of a team.
