We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior ABA Therapist to join our team If you're passionate about delivering values driven behaviour and education programs, this could be the role for you. All programs have behaviour analysis at the core, as well as a strong PBS framework, Verbal Behaviour Approach, and incorporate education research, parenting research, attachment theory and trauma informed care.
We are looking for an experienced ABA/PBS therapist (minimum 2 years experience across multiple clients) to join our team, to work on a school-based programme in Ossett, starting at 1 day a week and extending in 2026. You must be reliable, punctual, enthusiastic and open to developing a person-centred approach. For the right candidate, further work may be offered later as we get more enquiries in this area. This is a fully funded programme, with the opportunity to work with both SaLT and Behavioural Consultant input on a regular basis, along with monthly supervision to support your personal development.
Pay is £14.50-£24.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Main duties:
* You will work with one client in the Ossettarea.
* Sessions will be in school 6.5 hours a day on Mondays, extending to 19.5 hours on Mon/Tues/Weds March-June 2026 with some shorter sessions during school holidays.
* Attendance will also be required at monthly workshops.
* You will run therapy alone, in a school setting, using initiative and, keeping resources organised.
* Sessions are play based, child led and incorporate a lot of natural environment teaching
* Please be aware that as part of play, some running, lifting and general physical activity may be needed
* You may also encounter and be required to manage challenging behaviours
* You will work closely with parents and supervisor.
* Following standard safeguarding procedure and reporting any concerns whilst you are working
* You will receive regular support and training from the Supervisor and Consultant (BCBA/UKBA supervision can be included in this role.)
* You will have a half an hour 1-1 with a line manager to support you with your career development and to provide any additional support you may require.
* You will also have access to our monthly training. We are currently looking to add additional training from OTs and SLTs to our internal training sessions to help therapists further their knowledge of language development and sensory needs.
Essential:
You must have 2+ years working in ABA
You must have a degree in Psychology or a related field
You must have previous SEN experience working with children
You must be open to learning new approaches and procedures
You must be reliable and committed
You must have excellent communication skills
You must have right to work in the UK and be able to be self-employed
You must have a clean Enhanced DBS check or be willing to get one
Desirable:
You may have availability to work with additional children in future
You may have previous experience with PBS
You may have use of a car, for ease of getting to clients
