Sexual Health Fife is a forward‑thinking multidisciplinary team delivering sexual and reproductive health care for Fife’s population. A vacancy has arisen within the nursing team for a Registered Nurse (Adult) who will cover the delivery of services across Fife.
Responsibilities
* Deliver sexual and reproductive health services to the population of Fife.
* Function as an autonomous practitioner to ensure the provision of accessible, high‑standard, culturally sensitive and rights‑based care.
* Support partner services and third‑sector agencies to provide patient‑centred services.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experienced sexual health nurse or a Band 5 registrant who may not have prior sexual health experience.
* Progression to Band 6 on completion of competencies, including the Postgraduate Certificate in Sexual & Reproductive Health and a non‑medical prescribing qualification.
* Some experience in sexual health or a related area, a non‑judgemental, person‑centred approach, and the ability to use initiative.
* Must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
* Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom; non‑UK nationals must confirm right to work.
* Part‑time post with salary pro‑rata.
* Anticipated progression path: candidates commencing on lower band will be required to successfully complete the appropriate qualification(s) or training as outlined in the Annex 21 competency framework prior to progressing to upper band. Candidates meeting the full requirements of the upper band will commence payment at that band with no requirement to progress through the framework.
