Esland Shropshire School is seeking an outstanding SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing, specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 8 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs.

The role:
As a SEN Teacher, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs. You will:
* Plan and deliver lessons across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
* Support pupils’ academic and personal development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
* Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies
* Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times

Requirements for a SEN Teacher:
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
* Experience teaching KS2 and across a range of subjects
* Strong understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH
* Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
* Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Desirable:
* A degree or qualification in psychology
* A higher degree or equivalent
