Numerix is looking for a Senior Cloud Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of company's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud infrastructure and services. In this role, you are expected to stay up-to-date with the latest AWS developments and trends to make informed decisions and maximize the benefits of AWS for Numerix. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of cloud-based systems and applications. Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies for the operation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. Manage a team of cloud operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements. Monitor and analyze cloud performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in scalability, efficiency, and cost optimization. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud-based systems. Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for their integration into existing infrastructure. Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud operations processes, procedures, and configurations. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce cloud operations best practices and standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's degree is a plus). Minimum of 2 years of managing and leading cloud operations teams. In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS); extensive experience in AWS infrastructure management, with a strong background in various AWS services. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including native (serverless) AWS services, networking, storage, and security. Strong understanding of AWS security and compliance best practices. Experience with cloud deployment and automation tools, such as Docker, Terraform/CFT, or Ansible/TeamCity. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as CloudWatch. Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices and frameworks. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex issues in a fast-paced environment. Certifications Any one of the following are required - AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solution Architect Associate or Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is highly desirable. Plus - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). Plus - Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Plus - ITIL 4 Foundation.
