We are excited to be working with a global publisher at the forefront of publishing, spanning across mass-market favourites and niche genres, from lifestyle, craft and children’s magazines. They are looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Receptionist/Office Assistant to join their friendly team. This role offers hybrid working with 4 days in the London office and one day from home. This role offers an attractive salary and company benefits.

They are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist/Office Assistant to support the Managing Director and wider team, ensuring a smooth front-of-house experience and keeping the office running efficiently. This role would suit a candidate who enjoys variety, takes pride in high standards, and is comfortable balancing administrative and reception duties. The ability to speak French as well as English is highly desirable for this role.


Key responsibilities

* Provide administrative support to the Managing Director and wider team, including diary management, travel bookings, and event organisation.
* Manage reception duties: answer telephone calls and emails, welcome visitors, and maintain a professional front-of-house service.
* Oversee office operations: order stationery and equipment, handle incoming and outgoing post and couriers, scan and archive documents, and check office-related invoices.
* Manage supplier relationships and contracts relating to office services and equipment.
* Act as first point of contact for IT-related queries, liaising with Head Office and external IT support providers.
* Assist with HR administration, including updating holiday and absence records and coordinating onboarding processes for new staff.


Qualifications and attributes

* Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of the French language is highly desirable.
* Proven experience in an office administration/receptionist role.
* Ability to work in a friendly and supportive team.
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be proactive, reliable, and able to prioritise a varied workload.
