Finance Manager – North Manchester £60,000–£65,000 10% Bonus | Hybrid Working | Permanent Forge Talent is proud to be partnering with one of the most recognisable brands in the North West to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis, supporting the business through its next phase of growth. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the journal approval process, including the review and reconciliation of weekly and monthly workings to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. Support the preparation of monthly management accounts. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial information to the Group finance team. Oversee the balance sheet review process, ensuring key items are fully understood and explained. Conduct detailed variance analysis with commentary and supporting documentation to explain budget versus actuals and prior year comparisons. Produce the monthly reporting pack and associated management information (MI). Take responsibility for the preparation and submission of Group reporting packs for monthly, half-year, and year-end reporting. Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities, and escalate findings to the Financial Controller. Analyse key cost areas and provide robust financial challenge to operational teams. Act as a business partner to operational leaders to understand cost expectations, raise issues proactively, and ensure accountability for spending. Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and monthly reforecasts. Ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are consistently met. Qualifications and Experience: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Experience leading or mentoring a finance team. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence operational decision-making. Experience within logistics, supply chain, or other fast-paced industries is desirable but not essential.
