We are looking for a highly motivatedSenior Technical Assessorto join our Compliance team. This is a key role where you will take the lead in managing technical waste assessments, regulatory compliance, and Trans-frontier Shipment (TFS) applications. You will play an active role in supporting the business through expert guidance on waste legislation, while also driving improvements in internal processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the fullTFS application process, including data gathering, submission preparation, and coordination through to consent
* Overseelive TFS applications, ensuring timely renewals and modifications
* Providetechnical and regulatory guidanceto customers and internal stakeholders
* Assess and classify waste enquiries in line withWM3 and relevant legislation
* Ensure compliant processing of all waste enquiries against KPIs and internal procedures
* Support the development and delivery ofdepartmental KPIs and objectives
* Monitor and interpretUK and international waste legislation
* Delivertraining and technical guidanceto internal teams and external clients
* Supportoffsite waste sampling and management activities
* Liaise with UK and European waste treatment/disposal providers to agree acceptance and negotiate rates
* Build strong relationships with customers and third-party suppliers
* Lead investigations and reporting ofnon-conformances
* Conductduty of care auditsacross UK and international waste facilities
* Act as technical lead oncross-functional projects
* Support and coordinateISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and organisational skills:
* MinimumHNC in Chemistry(Degree desirable)
* At least3 years’ experience in waste management
* Strong understanding ofWM3 and waste classification
* Knowledge of waste treatment processes in the UK and internationally
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
* DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor)qualification
* NEBOSH General Certificate
* Experience usingSAP or CRM systems
