Trustee Role: Counselling


The Role


You will bring clinical or counselling expertise to the Board, ensuring our wellbeing services remain ethical, effective, and sustainable.


Key Responsibilities


* Provide advice on counselling practice and supervision.
* Ensure services meet safeguarding and ethical standards.
* Support development of culturally competent counselling.
* Strengthen links with counselling networks and services.


Person Specification


* Background in counselling, psychotherapy, or psychology.
* Accreditation (BACP, UKCP, HCPC) desirable.
* Knowledge of counselling ethics and supervision.


Please note this post is:


• Subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure

• Subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. It will be necessary for a disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and barring Service for details of any previous criminal convictions.

• Open to women* only (*exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1
