Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant for Residential to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a care home environment. You will be responsible for supervising junior staff, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both residents and staff. Your leadership skills will be crucial in maintaining high standards of care and communication within the team.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and support junior care staff in their duties.
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure the highest quality of care.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
* Deal with medication
Requirements
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
* A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals with a commitment to enhancing their quality of life.
* Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the care home.

Pay: £14.69 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
