Job description
Delta Academies Trust are looking to appoint a Transport Manager/Driver to join our Team as soon as possible on a full time, permanent basis.
This role will be primarily based at Dallowgill Environmental and Outdoor Education Centre.
Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.
Your new role
As the Transport Manager/Driver, you will oversee all aspects of the Trust's own branded transport operations ensuring they are efficient, safe and compliant with regulations to ensure our students are safely and comfortably transported between our academies and our own outdoor provision settings, as well as for other trips within the UK as necessary.
As part of these duties, you will ensure routes and schedules are well planned to consider the terrain and road types, as well as maintaining maintenance records. You will also play a key role in supporting the Trust in the development and implementation of transport strategies and policies.
You will be supporting other colleagues across the Trust by fulfilling a vital role in enabling our students to take part in experiences that they may never otherwise be able to engage with, helping them to create amazing memories and raising aspirations for our students.
As the Trust grows and further outdoor provisions are opened, additional transport and drivers will be required, and this post will be responsible for their line management.
If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience required for this position, then we would very much like to hear from you.
