If you enjoy driving, have an eye for detail and take pride in your work and the local area, then this could be just the job for you.
You will be responsible for providing front line street cleansing pathway sweeping service operating a 4.5tonne hydrostatic precinct sweeper for Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. Ideally, the candidate will have good commercial driving experience and knowledge of this type of vehicle would be an advantage however, we can provide training in this field.
The candidate must hold a C1 category licence entitling to drive a commercial vehicle up to 7.5tonne. In addition, a Certificate of Professional Competency, (CPC) is desirable although once again training can be provided.
You will be reliable, have a 'can do' attitude and a commitment to working safely. You'll need to be highly motivated, as you will be working alone and as part of a team. It is important you are organised and able to take direction whilst having a proactive and flexible approach to work.
Key Requirements
* Operate equipment in accordance with experience and training
* Hold a clean C1 driving licence
* Able to carry out physically demanding tasks
* Able to work safely within guidance and legislation
* Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
* Able to spot potential hazards and have good spacial awareness
* To carry out Street Cleaning activities as directed at weekends and bank holidays except Christmas day.
