We're looking for an experienced mobile focused, but UC capable BDM ideally with strong network experience working within a reseller, to join our team in the East Midlands. You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and growing relationships with existing customers. With a strong background in the telecommunications industry, you'll use your expertise to deliver tailored solutions that help businesses stay better connected.
About the Role
Reporting to the Sales Director, the BDM will play a key role in driving Yappl's growth across broadband, mobile and telephony. This is predominantly a field-based role covering Oxford and above, where you'll spend time meeting new prospects, managing a portfolio of existing accounts, and ensuring that all customers receive excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
· Identify and target new business opportunities across broadband, mobile and telephony.
· Generate leads through networking, referrals, and prospecting activity.
· Build strong relationships with decision-makers to uncover opportunities and close sales.
Account Management
· Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers across the East Midlands.
· Conduct regular account reviews to understand customer needs and upsell/cross-sell suitable products and services.
· Ensure customers receive proactive support and a consistently high level of service.
Sales Delivery
· Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
· Develop tailored proposals and presentations for customers.
· Negotiate contracts and ensure smooth handover to implementation and support teams.
Reporting & Process
· Maintain accurate records of all activity in Yappl's CRM (The Layer).
· Prepare forecasts, reports, and updates for management.
· Follow Yappl's sales processes to ensure compliance and quality.
About You
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Commercially driven with a proven track record of hitting targets.
· Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your own diary effectively.
· Customer-focused, with the ability to understand and respond to client needs.
· Professional, positive, and adaptable.
Your Experience
· Proven experience in a Sales & Account Manager or similar role.
· Background in the telecommunications industry (broadband, mobile and telephony).
· Experience managing accounts and winning new business in a B2B environment.
· Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
· Familiarity with CRM systems (experience with The Layer is an advantage).
· Full UK driving licence.
