The Role:
Aspire People is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students, helping to create an engaging and positive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and supporting the educational needs of students.
* Providing one-on-one and small group support to students who may need extra help, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
* Supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them to stay focused and engaged.
* Helping to prepare classroom materials and resources for lessons.
* Encouraging student participation and maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.
* Providing pastoral care and support to students throughout the school day.
* Monitoring and reporting on student progress to the classroom teacher.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
* Has a genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educational development.
* Is patient, caring, and able to build strong relationships with students.
* Demonstrates a flexible and proactive approach to working in a variety of school environments.
* Has excellent communication skills and is a team player.
* Experience working with young people, whether in a formal education setting or other support roles, is desirable but not essential.
* A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is an advantage, but not mandatory.
* Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a bonus, but not essential.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (through Aspire People).
